As we continue to highlight public comments to AZ BLM regarding Faraday Copper, some photos submitted really capture how BLM, Faraday Copper and Westland Resources are partners in crime.
Westland Resources is the “environmental” consultant that was hired by Faraday Copper to write the BLM Environmental Assessment while simultaneously writing Faraday’s Copper Creek Mining Plan of Operation. Yes you read that correctly, Westland wrote both documents.
Below shows (Left) Mining Plan of Operation, (Right) Environmental Assessment. Both prepared by Westland Resources.

So. When it came to finding an endangered species that could possibly de-rail Faraday’s chances of exploration on public land, what do you think the chances were that Westland would find one?
As guessed, Westland documented in the EA that the Mexican Spotted Owl was “Not Present”.
Well, photos submitted to AZ BLM during the public comment period, show the opposite. Below are two photos showing that exactly two days after Westland was looking for wildlife, the “Not Present” Mexican Spotted Owl presented itself.
This was the same area where photos of a Mexican Spotted Owl were also captured twice, a year prior.
You can move the slider to verify. Yep the exact same spot. Approximately 1/4 mile as the owl flies from Faraday’s dill rigs.
More to come. Thanks to all for your support.
