All the copper miners are touting that we need 115% more copper.
Where did that number come from?
That number came from a report from the International Energy Forum (IEF) in May of this year.
This manufactured urgent need for double the copper was based of these factors:
- All fossil fuels… gone!
- An immediate switch to 100% electric vehicles in US and EU
- All power provided only by solar and wind!
- Everyone has 28 days of battery backup!
So basically the “copper crisis” was created in dreamland.
The report goes on to say…”The first point related to copper mining that we would make is that there is plenty of copper available.”
The report further states… “hybrid electric vehicle manufacture would require negligible extra copper mining.”
We don’t know about you, but we are all for hybrids if it would mean Canada and China don’t benefit from our royalty-free minerals and free, unlimited water.
